“Five years from now, technology will be largely commoditised and most enterprises will already possess significant data assets. The real differentiator will be leaders who can identify where AI creates entirely new business value and inspire the organization to pursue that vision. I often use an analogy: the best restaurant is not the one with the most expensive oven; it is the one led by a chef with a clear vision for the dining experience. I’ve seen organisations with cutting-edge technology struggle because they lacked a clear AI strategy, executive sponsorship, and alignment between AI initiatives and business priorities, while others with modest tools achieved remarkable outcomes through strong leadership. I view AI success as Vision × Data × Technology × Culture. Vision is the multiplier that brings everything together. Equally important — knowing when not to deploy AI is as important as knowing when to deploy it. Long-term success will belong to organisations that combine innovation with strong governance, trust, and principled leadership.”
