“I see this as a fundamental shift in how products are imagined, built, and measured. Until recently, AI was added to products as a capability, a prediction layer, recommendation engine, or automation feature. It improved the product but rarely redefined it. Now it is becoming the foundation, and that changes the question a product leader must ask, from ‘Can AI improve this workflow?’ to ‘What should this workflow become when intelligence is built in from the start?’ Building our platform in-house taught me the practical side of this: orchestration, guardrails, evaluation, and cost per interaction. Working with various vendor-tech taught me the other half, where to buy versus build, and how quickly platform choices become constraints. This brings data, governance, evaluation, adoption, and cost economics directly into product strategy. As models become more accessible, differentiation will come from context, workflow fit, user trust, and measurable outcomes.”
