Autonomy as a Journey
A cloud transformation leader who sees stability as what makes innovation repeatable — and humans as the ones who keep consequential decisions
Believing that stability is what makes innovation repeatable at scale, Mr. Ravi Sharma emphasises the importance of aligning technology transformation with business outcomes, security, and operational resilience. Currently serving as Director, Cloud Migration & Transformation at Nagarro, he believes that digital maturity goes beyond cloud adoption, emphasising the integration of cloud, data, and AI to drive business agility, operational efficiency, and sustainable competitive advantage.
Emphasising the importance of combining technological innovation with people development to drive meaningful transformation, Mr. Ravi Sharma is recognised as one of the Transformation Leader of the Year 2026. He shares his insights on how India’s digital transformation will evolve towards intelligent and autonomous operations in an exclusive conversation with Corporate TrendZ:
“India’s public digital infrastructure demonstrates digital scale. The next phase will move from digitising processes to enabling intelligent, increasingly autonomous operations. I expect four shifts. First, modernisation will become the starting line. Enterprises must modernise applications and data estates to realise AI’s potential. Second, operations will become more self-managing. AI agents will monitor systems, diagnose and resolve issues, and optimise cost and capacity, allowing people to focus on oversight rather than firefighting. Third, trust will be a design requirement. Data protection, governance and explainability must be built in, especially in banking, insurance and healthcare. Fourth, talent will shift from building systems to orchestrating them, combining technical depth with business judgement. The winners will treat autonomy as a journey: automating what is predictable while keeping humans in charge of consequential decisions.”
