From Transportation to Project Enablement
A project logistics leader who sees moving extraordinary cargo as the bridge between investment and execution
Inspired by childhood journeys alongside his father, Mr. A Koteeswaran, Mr. Vijaykumar developed an early fascination with heavy-duty transportation and the precision behind moving extraordinary cargo. This early exposure laid the foundation for his career in project logistics, where he now leads regional operations as Head of Project Logistics, South Asia, at C.H. Robinson.
His professional journey spans Projects Logistics Giants, CEVA Logistics, and DHL Global Forwarding, where he built extensive expertise in complex cargo operations.
Looking ahead with a vision for growth and new possibilities, Mr. Vijaykumar Koteeswaran is recognised as one of the 10 Leading Supply Chain Leaders in India 2026. He shares his insights on how project logistics can support India’s infrastructure and industrial development in an exclusive conversation with Corporate TrendZ:
“I see its impact across five key areas. First, it will accelerate infrastructure development by ensuring the timely delivery of critical equipment for highways, metros, ports, power plants and industrial corridors. Second, it will support the energy transition, as solar, wind, battery storage and green hydrogen projects require specialised transportation and handling. Third, reliable project logistics will strengthen India’s manufacturing ecosystem by connecting global suppliers, domestic manufacturing hubs and project sites. Fourth, multimodal transportation, digital visibility and stronger port-to-project connectivity will improve execution efficiency and enhance India’s attractiveness as an investment destination. Finally, closer collaboration among logistics providers, engineering companies, EPC contractors, ports and government agencies will strengthen indigenous capabilities through specialised equipment and skilled talent.”
He further emphasises:
“Ultimately, project logistics must evolve beyond transportation to become a strategic project-enablement partner. As India pursues its long-term growth ambitions, project logistics will help bridge the gap between investment and execution.”
