Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) welcomes Vikas Kaushal as the new Chairman and Managing Director of the company. Vikas possesses over three decades of experience and has been associated with the renowned Kearney for over 20 years. His appointment highlights the lateral entry from the private sector to head the state-owned company in India.
Kaushal started his career with ICICI Limited as the Deputy Manager in 1995. Later, he joined Kearney and has been with them since then. He has led the company through several key positions. Kaushal became the Global Head of Energy and Process Industries in 2020. He significantly contributed to finance, audit, and government committees.
The position of CMD was vacant after the retirement of Pushp Kumar Joshi. Director of Finance Rajneesh Narang took the additional charge. Multiple candidates were interviewed, but the board didn’t find a suitable candidate. Kaushal’s appointment brings a fresh perspective to HPCL. His expertise in the energy sector has driven immense growth for Kearney and will also contribute to the success of HPCL.
