
Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has appointed Sunanda Khaitan as the new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for its Beauty & Wellbeing division. This appointment is a strategic move aimed at strengthening Unilever’s Beauty & Wellbeing leadership framework and accelerating growth across its premium and mass beauty portfolios.
With over two decades of experience, she is a seasoned marketing and brand leader. She has been an integral part of Unilever for nearly two decades. She joined the company as Area Sales Manager in the year 2006. Over the years, she was promoted to the position of Vice President & Business Head – Lakmē, where she led the brand’s strategy and business operations. She has also held several leadership roles within Unilever, including global brand director positions for haircare and skincare portfolios, and brand management roles across major beauty and personal care brands.
She began her professional career with Dabur India Limited as Area Sales Manager. In her new role, she will play a key role in shaping Unilever’s consumer-centric marketing initiatives at a time of rapid growth and innovation in the beauty and wellness sector. She will be responsible for driving brand growth, enhancing consumer engagement, and strengthening the company’s market positioning across key categories.
This appointment will focus on the company’s innovation-led marketing, digital transformation, and deeper consumer engagement in an increasingly competitive beauty and personal care landscape.
