ADB welcomes Yevgeniy Zhukov as the Director General for CCSD

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) elevated Yevgeniy Zhukov(Eugenue Zhukov) as the Director General of Climate Change and Sustainable Development for the Central and West Asia Regional Department. With over 30 years of experience in the financial sector. Over the years, he has handled multiple roles across several borders, like West Asia and the Pacific.

Zhukov will be leading ADB’s overall engagement on climate change, environment, gender, and other areas. He will be handling stakeholder commitments and also fulfilling partnerships to develop operations that deliver strong development.

Zhukov has been associated with ADB since 1995 and was previously serving as the Director General of the Central and West Asia Department. Under his leadership, the bank has grown significantly and has developed inclusive, resilient and sustainable growth across Asia and the Pacific.

“ADB will continue to work closely with governments and development partners in the region to foster the economic recovery, develop transport corridors, promote renewable energy, and build competitive and inclusive economies,” expressed Mr. Zhukov.
