Ajay Kumar Pandey joined Jindal Power Limited as the Executive Director and CEO of the company, bringing over 25 years of experience in commodity procurement, supply chain, and strategic management.
For 23 years, he served VedantaLimited – Aluminium Business, where he served multiple senior leadership roles, including CEO, COO, Head of Health, Safety & Fire, and more. During his time at Vedanta, Ajay has developed and implemented strategic plans at India’s largest captive power units. He was responsible for managing coal sourcing and managing the entire supply chain while developing a digitized platform operation and establishing policies to promote safety, culture, and vision.
In his early career days, he worked with Malco as the Shift in Charge – Power Plant and ACCCement as Assistant Manager. Ajay earned his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technologies from Bhilai Institute of Technology (BIT), Durg, and gained PG Diploma in Thermal Power Plant Engineering from the National Power Training Institute, Faridabad.
