
Microsoft has announced the appointment of Aman Malhotra as Security Engineering Leader – India & South Asia. This is a strategic appointment that will strengthen the organisation’s cybersecurity leadership and advance secure AI and cloud security initiatives across the region.
With 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity strategy, cloud security architecture, and enterprise risk management. Over the course of his career, he has served as a Network Engineer at Punjab National Bank, Business Analyst at Infosys, Program Consultant – Cloud & Information security at IBM, Senior Consultant – Process Consulting & Information Security at Capgemini, Associate – Global Presales & Solutions at TresVista, Senior Manager – Global Security Practice at TÜV SÜD, and Group Manager – Security MDR Practice at UST. His expertise spans threat detection, DevSecOps strategies, and helping organisations strengthen security frameworks in complex digital environments.
He holds a strong academic foundation from Maharshi Dayanand University, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Bengaluru, and Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. In his new role, he will lead Microsoft’s security engineering initiatives across India and South Asia, supporting enterprise customers in strengthening cybersecurity posture, driving secure AI adoption, and advancing Microsoft’s regional security engineering capabilities.
This appointment will strengthen Microsoft’s security leadership in the region as organisations increasingly prioritise AI-driven cybersecurity frameworks, cloud security resilience, and enterprise-grade threat protection.
