“See You at the Charging Station” Tesla Gets a Witty Welcome from Anand Mahindra
India’s electric vehicle market welcomed Elon Musk’s Tesla officially in Mumbai. The Tesla Experience Room opened at Bandra Kurla Complex on 15th July 2025. Welcoming the milestone, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra took to X to extend the warm welcome with a witty message.
“Welcome to India, elonmusk and Tesla. One of the world’s largest EV opportunities just got more exciting … Looking forward to seeing you at the charging station,” – Chairman Mahindra shared on X.
Mahindra framed Tesla’s entry as healthy competition. He also mentioned the benefits of innovation and the scope in the broader market of EVs. He even shared a tweet back from 2017, when Elon Musk mentioned India’s growing EV landscape, where Mahindra sportingly replied, “Time you got out here, Elon… The more, the merrier — and greener!”
