Britannia Industries Limited has appointed Rakshit Hargave as its new Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director for a five-year term starting 15 December 2025. Hargave joins Britannia from Birla Opus (part of the Grasim Industries group), where he served as CEO since November 2021 and led the business through significant operational expansion.
Bringing prior senior experience from major multinational firms including Beiersdorf, Lakmé Lever Pvt. Ltd. and Hindustan Unilever, Hargave is expected to strengthen Britannia’s leadership as it pursues growth amid a competitive market.
For the quarter ending second quarter of FY 2026, Britannia reported net sales of ₹47.52 billion, up 4.1 % year-on-year, while operating profit increased by 22.9 % to ₹8.69 billion and net profit rose by 23.1 % to ₹6.54 billion. The leadership transition comes as the company aims to accelerate innovation, rural market expansion, and supply-chain optimisation in the coming years.
