With nearly two decades of experience, Kapoor has honed his skills in the financial sector. He has been associated with Citi from the very beginning of his professional career. Kapoor has experience in managing cross-border migrations and cash operations.
With a proven track record in leading innovation-driven payments initiatives, he will be leading the development and execution of Citi’s payment strategy. This strategy includes cross-border payments and embedded financial services across 20+ countries in the MEA region.
Citi is expanding its payment business in the MEA region and focusing on the broader regional trends towards digitization and financial inclusion. Kapoor will be responsible for forging alliances with central banks and regulators to support real-time payment frameworks and advancing interoperability within the digital economy.
