Technology Solves Real Problems

A logistics leader who moves from reactive to predictive — and keeps people at the centre of every operation

Believing that logistics is ultimately driven by people, Mr. Dhiraj Sethi emphasises that technology can improve visibility and decision-making, but it is people who keep operations moving. With experience across Indo Dhir Logistics Solutions LLP, Biryani By Kilo, GK Cold Chain Solutions, ColdEX Logistics, and Freight Link Logistics Solution, he currently serves as Assistant Vice President – Logistics at Confidence Petroleum India Ltd. He emphasises the importance of team collaboration and open communication, stating, “Communication is also critical. Problems should be raised early and discussed openly, with decisions based on facts rather than assumptions.”

Committed to building stronger teams, improving performance, and making every operation more efficient, Mr. Dhiraj Sethi is recognised as one of the 10 Leading Supply Chain Leaders in India 2026. He shares his perspective on the growing role of technology in supply chains and the key opportunities for transformation in an exclusive conversation with Corporate TrendZ:

“I believe the biggest opportunity is moving from reactive logistics management to more predictive and data-driven decision-making. We now have technologies such as GPS-based fleet visibility, automated dashboards, route optimisation, digital documentation, predictive maintenance, AI-supported forecasting, and real-time exception management that can significantly improve operations. But I do not believe technology should be adopted simply because it is available. It has to solve a real business problem. For example, vehicle tracking is valuable when it helps improve utilisation, reduce idle time, optimise routes, control fuel consumption, improve safety, and deliver better customer service. For me, the future of logistics is about bringing together technology, analytics, automation, and human judgement. Technology can identify patterns and predict disruptions, but experienced professionals still provide context and make the right decisions. The real transformation comes when people use data to continuously improve.”
