
DHL Global Forwarding, Freight has appointed Tobias Maier as Chief Executive Officer for the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region, effective 1 December 2025. Maier will be succeeding Amadou Diallo, who is stepping down from this position.
Tobias brings a strong track record in finance, digital innovation, and strategic growth across the region. He joined the DHL Group in 2008 and since then he had led multiple leadership positions. Most recently he served as CFO for MEA and CEO of Saloodo, DHL’s digital freight platform in the region. He has been leading M&A activity across multiple regions and expanding the business footprint in key markets such as Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Ethiopia and the UAE.
