Prashant Pitti, co-founder of EaseMyTrip, looking thoughtful or determined, with a blurred background of heavy city traffic in Bengaluru.

EaseMyTrip.com’s co-founder, Prashant Pitti, has pledged ₹1 crore to solve Bengaluru’s traffic congestion after being stuck for nearly two hours to cover 11 km. He offered a tech-driven solution to deal with the city’s horrible traffic situation.

Piiti described the ordeal as a trap: “I was stuck at one choke-point at ORR, where I spent 100 mins struggling to understand why there is no traffic light or cop here!”

However, Pitti emphasises that success comes through collaboration. He called on the Bengaluru Traffic Police and BBMP to share APIs and urged ML/AI professionals and citizens to join the mission to solve Bangalore’s traffic problem.

The response has been positive, and tech experts are offering support via social media. He praised the project as a potential civic breakthrough.
