EssilorLuxottica has appointed Venu Ambati as President, Greater India. This appointment is a strategic leadership move that reflects the company’s continued focus on strengthening its market presence and commercial growth across the region.
With over 25 years of experience, he brings extensive leadership experience across commercial leadership, market development, and general management. Notably, he served for 16 years at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), where he held senior leadership positions across commercial strategy, sales management, and general management. He also served as Vice President, Pharmaceuticals, Abbott India at Abbott for 9 years. In his new job role, he will be central to elevating the company’s footprint in India’s rapidly evolving eyewear and optical solutions industry.
His academic qualifications are from the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology and the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. Over the course of his career, he has held senior roles across diverse sectors and geographies, building strong strategic capabilities in business growth and operational performance.
