Rahul Balanadu has been appointed Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO) & Chief Information Officer (CIO), Americas at Graphic Packaging International. This appointment will help the organisation oversee IT strategy, digital transformation, and business-aligned technology delivery across the Americas region.
Mr. Balanadu is a seasoned strategic information technology executive with extensive experience in building and leading high-performing IT organisations, driving enterprise technology programs, and aligning digital capabilities to business needs. He held senior technology leadership roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific as Senior Director – Digital Business Transformation and Divisional IT Leader, Baker Hughes as Senior Director – Strategic Transformation Initiatives, and Senior Consultant at Covaiz Consulting LLC.
He holds a master’s degree from Syracuse University in the United States and a bachelor’s from Vishwakarma Institute Of Technology. His professional profile reflects a long tenure in IT leadership roles that focus on business strategy, team leadership, and program execution, with responsibilities spanning infrastructure, cloud, security, and enterprise platforms that support complex operations in large multinational environments.
In his new role, he will be responsible for setting technology strategy, promoting innovation, strengthening information security and digital infrastructure, and ensuring that IT delivers measurable value in alignment with Graphic Packaging International’s strategic priorities and long-term growth plans.
