In 2020, Indian Engineer Hari Krishna set up not only to build an EV company but also to reshape how India moves. He borrowed ₹25 lakhs from his family and friends and launched Green Drive Mobility. At this time, India was a tough market for EVs, but Krishna followed his gut and started the company.

Started his journey with renting two-wheelers in Bengaluru, and the company focused on solving the real urban challenges, including pollution, last-mile delivery inefficiencies, and lack of sustainability and mobile options for gig workers. With no VC backing, he ran the company operations while facing multiple hurdles like the pandemic and constant vendor challenges.

With his never-ending persistence, Green Drive now operates over 5000 EVs across more than 10 cities in India, serving major clients like Amazon, IKEA, Zepto and bigbasket. The company’s revenue crossed ₹25 crore annually and empowered many gig workers who struggled with vehicle issues and reduced carbon emissions in urban areas.
