Gukesh Dommaraju Defeats Magnus Carlsen in Norway Chess 2025
At the Norway Chess tournament 2025 held at Stavanger, Gukesh Dommaraju, the 19-year-old Indian World Champion has won against five time world champion Magnus Carlsen. This win is a significant milestone for Gukesh as well as for the entire nation.
The match was intensely contested, with Carlsen initially holding the advantage. But a rare mistake allowed Gukesh to snatch the opportunity and clinch the game. Carlsen’s frustration was so visible that was captured on camera and the clip gained a lot of attention online where he knocked over the pieces.
