The former Managing Director and CEO of Diageo India, Hina Nagarajan, is now appointed as the President of Diageo Africa from 1st April, effectively. This appointment marks her return to the African market. In 2018, Nagarajan joined Diageo as Managing Director for African Emerging Markets.
Nagarajan has worked for Nestle India Limited, ICI Paints India, and Reckitt, some well-known companies in the industry.
Nagarajan significantly contributed to the growth initiatives during her tenure at Diageo India. Under her leadership, the company’s “overall business growth has nearly tripled in the period from 2021-23 vs. 2016-21.”
Nagarajan will supervise the operations of Africa. With her experience in the emerging markets and prior experience in Africa, she stated, “This will be my second stint in Africa, where I previously served as Managing Director of Africa Emerging Markets.”
