Harjit Takkar has been appointed as the Zonal Head of Branch Banking and EVP for the Delhi and NCR region at IndusInd Bank. In this role, he will be responsible for heading the branch banking operations across the region and driving growth in deposits and assets, strengthening customer engagement, and ensuring operational excellence.
Before this role, he was the EVP and Zonal Head Branch Banking across 232 branches in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka, where he managed 1800+ professionals and delivered sustainable growth and expansion. Harjit brings two decades of expertise across the banking sector. In his professional journey, he has worked with ICICIBank, YESBank, and BandhanBank.
At Bandhan Bank, he was the Zonal Branch Banking Head across Delhi NCR, North India, and Bihar, where he was leading the strategic expansion of the bank by enhancing the presence in the regions. He also focused on diversifying the deposit and asset portfolio and launched over 100+ branches in the regions. Over the years, Harjit worked across multiple geographies, which made him the ideal fit for this role.
With his extensive expertise and proven ability to drive large-scale growth, Takkar’s appointment is expected to further strengthen IndusInd Bank’s presence in the competitive Delhi NCR market.
