RCB and PBKS Set for Historic IPL 2025 Final Showdown
History to be made in IPL 2025. Two teams that haven’t won the IPL Trophy in the last 17 seasons. One deserving will add a star on the jersey, but the question is, who? Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) prepare to face off on 3rd June 2025 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. As a nail-biting season comes to an end, the audience will witness a team that will win the IPL title this year.
RCB is led by Rajat Patidar this year, securing their spot in the final with a dominant performance in Qualifier 1. PBKS has also shown exceptional performance in the last Qualifier round. Under Shreyas Iyer’s leadership, PBKS has gained a spot in the final after 11 years.
PBKS is coached by Ricky Ponting and earned their place at the finals after defeating Mumbai Indians at Qualifier 2. Iyer’s unbeaten innings led PBKS one step closer to winning the IPL Trophy. Not only a batsman but also an exceptional bowler, Arshdeep Singh has taken 18 wickets this season.
Both teams have faced challenges in this IPL season. RCB has reached the finals three times in the last 17 years – 2009, 2011 and 2016. Whereas PBKS is making their second appearance at the finals after 2014. With Shreyas’ experience in IPL and being the last season’s winning captain of KKR, Punjab has come a long way under his leadership.
With both teams eager to break their title droughts, it’s not a simple match between the teams, but also the fans, in the hope of seeing their team win the title.
