DP World has strengthened its leadership team in Asia with the appointment of Joshua Chin as the Senior Director of Solutions Engineering, based in Singapore. Chin will be leading the commercial partnerships and logistics across the APAC region, focusing on enhancing DP World’s integrated supply chain and engineering capabilities.
Chin brings over two decades of experience in logistics, technology, and operations across multiple organisations, including defense services. He has led Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, Kuehne+Nagel, DHL Supply Chain, DHL Global Forwarding, and the Singapore Army.
At Hellman Worldwide, he worked as the Head of International Supply Chain Solutions for APAC, where he was responsible for regional ISCS, product development, project implementation, and improving partnerships with stakeholders. He also led the solution development and business case development for strategic customer engagements while partnering across product, IT, operations, and finance at Kuehne+Nagel.
Chin served in the Singapore Army and started his career as a Platoon Commander. He later became the Project and Operations Manager, where he led and managed operational support for various operational requirements.
He served as the System Manager of the army before moving on in his career after serving for 10 years. His career highlights include managing 18 high-value defense projects, developing long-term sustainment frameworks, and leading cross-functional teams for national and regional initiatives.
