Diwali bonus came early this year at Mahindra Group. The group has announced a whopping ₹500 crore one-time employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) for over 14,000 employees which includes factory and shopfloor workers. This is a rare move in the Indian industry signaling a strong push toward inclusive wealth creation.
The stock distribution will be done across three key Mahindra subsidiaries – Mahindra & Mahindra (Auto and Farm sectors), Mahindra Electric Automobile, and Mahindra Last Mile Mobility. Employees who have been associated with the company for at least 12 months and are on a permanent payroll are eligible for this.
This year Mahindra Group has surpassed Hyundai and became the second largest passenger vehicle manufacturer. This bold initiative highlights Mahindra’s commitment to strengthen employee engagement and foster shared prosperity.
