Malaysia Aviation Group has appointed Nasaruddin A bakar as its new President and Group CEO. He will succeed Izham Ismail, who is set to retire on 31 January 2026 after more than four decades with the organisation.
With over three decades of industry experience within MAG, Nasaruddin previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Malaysia Airlines and led the successful turnaround of MASwings in 2022 under MAG’s Long-Term Business Plan (LTBP) 2.0. In his new role, he is expected to drive operational excellence, elevate customer experience, and steer sustainable growth across MAG’s airline, loyalty, travel services, and aviation services divisions.
This leadership change underscores MAG’s commitment to strategic succession planning, continuity in execution, and deepening its competitive position in the rapidly evolving aviation sector.
