Challenging Two Assumptions
A transformation leader who values the thoughtful “no” — and believes AI speeds up answers, not judgement
Curiosity, continuous learning, and the ability to challenge established ways of working remain central to Ms. Palak Sanghvi’s approach to leadership. Currently serving as Chief Transformation Officer at KNAV, she believes in empowering people to take ownership, learn from mistakes, and grow beyond their perceived limitations, creating a lasting impact that extends beyond individual achievements.
She also highlights that as women continue to break barriers and take on leadership roles across industries, the next step towards meaningful progress is to make workplace flexibility a norm for everyone, ensuring that personal responsibilities are not seen as barriers to professional ambition or leadership growth.
Emphasising that future leaders must challenge conventional ideas about productivity and AI, Ms. Palak Sanghvi, recognised as one of the Transformation Leader of the Year 2026, shares her perspective on what the next generation of leaders should challenge in today’s corporate world in an exclusive conversation with Corporate TrendZ:
“I would like the next generation to challenge two assumptions. The first is the belief that effective professionals should always say yes. Ambition matters, but saying yes to everything does not necessarily create impact. Leaders should ask whether an activity creates value, deserves their attention and aligns with their priorities. The ability to say no thoughtfully is an important leadership skill. The second assumption is that AI can replace expertise simply because it can generate answers quickly. AI has accelerated information and execution, but speed is not the same as judgement. Experience provides context, skepticism and an understanding of consequences. Future leaders should therefore become highly comfortable with AI while remaining willing to question it. They should know when to automate, when to intervene and when human judgement is essential. The strongest leaders will understand where technology creates value and where people remain indispensable.”
