Shivnath Thukral joined PhonePe as the Vice President of Public Policy and Government Affairs. Thukral has over two decades of industry experience.
Over the past decades, Thukral has worked with NDTV, Essar Group, Carnegie India, Facebook, WhatsApp Inc., and Meta. Thukral has worked with Meta India for 8 years and has contributed significantly to public policy. During his tenure at Meta, Thukral led the organisation in regulatory issues related to technology and finance.
Thukral concluded his journey with Meta and expressed his gratitude, “After a very satisfying and enriching journey of more than 7.5 years, I have decided to step down from Meta as the VP of India Public Policy at the end of this month. It is not an easy decision to make, but I feel very confident that our policy engagement with stakeholders is at a credible and constructive juncture, and we can only build further on that.”
PhonePe is expanding in the financial services and consumer tech. Thukral’s appointment brings a lot of expertise to the table and highlights the company’s business objectives.
