Work Like an Entrepreneur
A legal head who sees law as an enabler of business — and ownership, logic and curiosity as the drivers of career growth
With a strong belief that professional growth begins with looking beyond the boundaries of your role, Mr. Piyush Satikuvar currently serves as Legal Head at FINQY, where he encourages professionals to understand the business, clients, management, and decision-making processes.
As he puts it, “Stay curious, take ownership and learn beyond your immediate role.” He also sees law not as a gatekeeper, but as an enabler of business, believing that modern legal professionals must bring logic, adaptability, ownership, and an entrepreneurial mindset to their work.
Recognized as one of the 10 Most Inspiring Legal Leaders in India 2026, Mr. Piyush Satikuvar shares his perspective on what truly drives meaningful career growth and the lessons that have shaped his professional journey in an exclusive conversation with Corporate TrendZ:
“I believe logic is one of the most important skills in any profession, particularly in law. Technical knowledge and communication skills can be developed, but the ability to think logically, solve problems and arrive at practical solutions can take you a long way.”
He further added:
“The other key skill is the ability to work with people, whether colleagues, clients, seniors or other stakeholders. I also strongly believe in one principle: when you are working as an employee, work like an entrepreneur. Take ownership as though it is your own company or department. Do not simply complete the task assigned to you; understand why it matters, take responsibility for the outcome and focus on creating value. When you help the person you report to and the organisation succeed, you create opportunities for your own growth. At the same time, it is important to choose an environment that gives you the opportunity to learn, contribute and progressively take on greater responsibility.”
