
Vayona Energy has appointed Pritesh Vinay as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This appointment reflects Vayona Energy’s focus on experienced leadership to drive operational scale, capital efficiency, and customer-centered innovation in a rapidly expanding wind energy market.
Mr. Vinay brings 25 years of professional experience across renewable energy, infrastructure, capital markets, and large-scale project execution to his new role. He has also served as Director (Finance) and Chief Financial Officer at JSW Energy Ltd, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the company’s renewable capacity and leading key strategic financial initiatives. His earlier roles included positions at Goldman Sachs, Edelweiss Capital, and the Aditya Birla Group.
Vayona Energy, formerly the onshore wind turbine manufacturing business of Siemens Gamesa in India and Sri Lanka, was rebranded and relaunched as an independent company following its acquisition by a consortium led by TPG Capital and Mavco Investments, alongside industry veteran Prashant Jain. The company aims to be a leading wind turbine original equipment manufacturer (OEM) across India and South Asia with a strong operational portfolio and expanding manufacturing capabilities.
In his role as CEO, Mr. Vinay will focus on strengthening Vayona Energy’s market position, expanding manufacturing capacity, deepening customer partnerships, and steering the business toward sustainable, returns-oriented growth. This leadership appointment underscores Vayona Energy’s commitment to experienced, strategic leadership as it navigates a pivotal phase of growth and contributes to the broader transition to clean energy across the region.
