Priya Nair, the newly appointed CEO of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), smiling confidently.

No woman CEO in 92 years, until now. Who is this woman?
Meet Priya Nair, the first-ever woman CEO of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) in their 92-year legacy. Her appointment marks a powerful shift in corporate leadership in India.

She currently serves as the President of Beauty and Wellbeing at Unilever. With over three decades of experience at HUL, Nair has held several senior positions, including EVP for South Asia, and led brands like Dove, Glow & Lovely, and Clinic Plus.

As she prepares to take over India’s biggest FMCG giant, her story is one of breaking barriers and redefining leadership norms in boardrooms. Nair will succeed Rohit Jawa, who served as the CEO and MD of HUL since 2023. Jawa is stepping down to pursue other opportunities in his personal and professional life.

Nitin Paranjpe, Chairman of HUL, welcomed Priya and expressed his enthusiasm for her new appointment, stating, “Priya has had an outstanding career in HUL and Unilever.” I am certain that with her deep understanding of the Indian market and excellent track record, Priya will take HUL to the next level of performance.
