
The Royal Jordanian Air Academy (RJAA) welcomed Mohannad Ali Al-Faqir as its new Director General, marking a significant leadership move for one of the region’s leading aviation training institutions. With over two decades of experience in aviation safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Al-Faqir brings a strong track record of shaping high-performance aviation organisations across the Middle East.
Before joining this role, Al-Faqir served as the Manager of Regulatory Affairs for Foreign Operations at Qatar Airways, where he was responsible for compliance across international jurisdictions. He also held a leadership role at Black Iris Private Aviation as Director of Safety and Regulatory Compliance and as Managing Partner and GM at AVtech for Aviation Solutions. Earlier, he led safety and quality functions at Joramco, Fly Jordan Airlines, Air Arabia, and Royal Falcon Airlines. His career began with the Royal Jordanian Air Force, where he spent over 16 years managing aircraft maintenance, manpower resources, and quality assurance.
His leadership is expected to enhance RJAA’s role in preparing the next generation of aviation professionals in the region and beyond.
