Sai Vidya Institute of Technology has elevated Dr. M S Ganesha Prasad as its new Director of Operations. With decades of experience in the education sector, Dr. Prasad is a distinguished academician and seasoned administrator. He brings over three decades of experience in engineering education, research, and institutional leadership.
A Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India) and the Indian Institution of Production Engineers, Dr. Prasad is also a Senior Member of IEEE and a Life Member of ISTE. Throughout his career, he has held pivotal roles including Principal, Dean, and Head of Department across reputed engineering institutions. At SVIT, he will focus on academic excellence, operational transformation, and institutional growth.
Dr. Prasad has guided several PhD scholars in the field of Computational Engineering and continues to mentor young researchers. His leadership philosophy emphasizes innovation in education, continuous learning, and developing future-ready engineers.
Before this role, he served as Principal at Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering, Mangalore, India and as Dean & Head of Mechanical Engineering at New Horizon College of Engineering. His appointment marks a significant step toward strengthening SVIT’s vision of creating an advanced, research-driven, and globally competitive academic ecosystem.
