SatPalBhanoo has been appointed as the interim Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). He succeeded Siddhartha Mohanty’s position after he completed his tenure on 7th June, 2025.
This appointment is backed by the approval from the Ministry of Finance’s Department of Financial Services. Bhanoo will serve the dual role for three months, until a permanent successor is appointed.
He brings over 30 years of experience at Life Insurance Corporation of India – LIC; Bhanoo has served as Zonal Manager for LIC’s Central Zone in Bhopal before becoming Managing Director. He has held several positions and contributed significantly to the organisation. He has led several key divisions, such as Bangalore, Shimla, and New Delhi.
This interim appointment ensures stable leadership in the organisation as it goes through its transition. Recently, LIC has appointed top executives RatnakarPatnaik and Dinesh Pant as the Managing Directors at LIC.
