McDonald’s has appointed Saurabh Chakraborty as Senior Director & Head of AI Engineering. Saurabh will lead the AI Lab, drive the development of AI engineering capabilities across McDonald’s global operations, and serve as Technology Site Leader for the company’s India offices. His leadership will focus on advancing innovation, operational intelligence, and next-generation customer experiences across the QSR industry.
With an impressive career spanning organizations such as SmartSoCSolutions, Valtech, KPIT, Fujitsu India, Capgemini, Mphasis, and Mindtree, Saurabh has built and led transformative programs in AI, digital transformation, and cloud technologies. A founding member and Secretary of the IIBA Bangalore Chapter, he has also mentored business analysts and guided professional development initiatives for over 15 years.
Early in his career, Saurabh worked on Project BlueCode at ISRO in collaboration with NASA and RV College of Engineering, enhancing Mars Rover data processing algorithms. With deep expertise in EdgeAI, Generative AI, Deep Learning, and Digital Innovation, he is set to shape McDonald’s AI vision and accelerate its technology-driven transformation worldwide.
