KPMG announced the appointment of Suruj Dutta as the Partner in the Abu Dhabi Office, reinforcing its Financial Services Advisory practice across the Middle East. Dutta brings over two decades of experience in the financial sector.

Dutta had worked with companies like Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Capgemini Consulting, Vodafone, Tektronix, Nortel NetworksWipro Technologies, and more. He is currently working as Partner and Leader, Payments and Financial Services Digital at EY. He was associated with BCG for 9 years and was responsible for advising financial institutions across the UK, Hong Kong, UAE, and MENA region.

Known for his expertise in the eKYC, ecosystem strategies, and digital transformation, Dutta has worked closely with banks, regulators, and fintech firms to boost scalability. At KPMG India, he will aim to modernise client operations models through AI, cloud solutions, and advanced analytics. He will be ensuring customer experience and regulatory readiness.

His deep knowledge in technology and strategic insights are expected to drive KPMG’s mission to deliver cutting-edge, client-centric advisory services in the financial services sector across the region. His appointment signals  KPMG’s commitment to future-ready innovation and digital leadership.
