“The greatest change has been the movement from a largely physical, function-led supply chain to an integrated, technology-enabled and customer-centric ecosystem. I have personally seen the progression from manual ordering and fragmented distribution to ERP, WMS, D2C, TMS omnichannel fulfilment, real-time visibility and increasingly AI-enabled decision making.”
He further added:
“The next major shift will be from digital supply chains to intelligent and increasingly autonomous supply chains. AI will move beyond dashboards and forecasting to support demand sensing, replenishment, inventory optimisation, supplier-risk management and dynamic routing. However, technology alone will not create this transformation. Talent, operating models and organisational culture must evolve alongside it.”
