
Genpact has announced the appointment of Tamal Pattanayak as Assistant Vice President (AVP) – Lean Digital Transformation, Financial Services. This appointment reflects a strategic step to build its capabilities in process excellence and digital innovation for the financial services sector.
With over 15 years of extensive experience in operational excellence, lean transformation, and digital enablement. He has served as AVP – Transformation and Head Quality and Process Excellence at Wipro, Service Delivery Manager, Process Excellence at Cognizant, Manager Process Re-Engineering Consultant at HSBC, Project Manager- Lean Implementation & Time and Motion study at HDFC Bank, and Quality Assurance & Process Improvement-Delivery excellence group at Tata Consultancy Services.
He holds his academic qualification from Vidyasagar University, BSI Training Academy, and the Indian Statistical Institute, Pune Chapter. His leadership is grounded in a strong understanding of financial services processes, client priorities, and emerging technology trends. In his new role, he will lead initiatives that accelerate the adoption of lean principles combined with digital technologies across financial services operations.
His appointment will deepen the company’s expertise in combining lean methodologies with digital tools to unlock greater value for clients in a rapidly evolving market. He will be responsible for driving transformation programs that enhance operational efficiency, improve customer experience, and deliver measurable business outcomes for global clients.
