Mohamed Mousa has been appointed as the new Managing Director for Wipro Middle East, operating out of the new Riyadh headquarters. This appointment comes on the heels of Sandeep Dhar‘s recent posting as the Global Head of Wipro’s Global Capability Center (GCC) practice.
These leadership changes, spearheaded by CEO Srini Pallia, underscore Wipro’s intensified focus on harnessing the immense potential of Global Capability Centers. As IT services companies increasingly see measured business coming in from GCCs, Wipro is strategically positioning itself to become a partner of choice for global enterprises seeking to establish, scale, and transform their GCCs into hubs of innovation and growth.
The relocation to Riyadh also includes a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) to establish a Center of Excellence (CoE). This initiative aims to upskill local Saudi talent in advanced technologies, further solidifying Wipro’s commitment to regional development and a future-ready workforce.
This bold step by Wipro reflects a clear strategy to drive sustainable growth, deepen client relationships, and capitalize on the growing demand for IT services in the Middle East and the expanding role of GCCs globally.
