Zydus Lifesciences Ltd has appointed Samarth Desai as Head of Human Resources – VTC R&D. With over 17 years of cross-industry experience spanning pharmaceuticals, energy, and manufacturing, Samarth will head the HR strategy, organizational design, and talent development within the R&D division. He will ensure the alignment of human capital initiatives with the company’s mission to drive innovation and scientific excellence.
Samarth had served as Assistant General Manager at HR at Amneal Pharmaceuticals, where he headed transformative programs in talent management, performance enhancement, and employee engagement. He also worked with TBEA Energy (India) Pvt. Ltd., Adani Power Ltd., and Reliance Industries Ltd. which shaped his deep expertise in manpower planning, competency mapping, and learning and development.
His appointment underscores Zydus Lifesciences’ commitment to fostering a high-performing R&D culture rooted in collaboration, agility, and continuous learning, further reinforcing its leadership in the life sciences sector.
