
Unilever announced the appointment of Abhinav Ravikumar as Chief Marketing Officer, Personal Care India. A strategic move that will lead the marketing efforts for Unilever’s expansive personal care portfolio in India, overseeing brand strategy, consumer engagement, and market innovation.
With over 13 years of deep FMCG and brand leadership experience within Unilever, having progressed through multiple high-impact roles. He started his professional journey with Unilever as a Sales and Marketing Intern. He served as Global Brand Director for Lux and Lifebuoy, where he drove brand vision and growth across key markets. Before that, he was General Manager – eCommerce India, leading the company’s e-commerce and prestige retail business with a focus on expanding digital and omnichannel reach.
His academic qualifications are from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, and the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, His experience demonstrates a strong track record of building brands, enhancing consumer relevance, and driving commercial outcomes.
In his new role, he will be responsible for shaping and executing the marketing strategy for Unilever’s personal care business in India, steering brand equity, consumer insights, and integrated campaigns that resonate with a broad and diverse consumer base. His appointment will strengthen brand leadership and accelerate growth in one of its most important and competitive market segments.
