Ranju Alex joined Accor as the Chief Executive Officer for South Asia. In this role, she will be exploring the markets of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. With three decades of expertise in the hospitality sector, she brings immense knowledge of this industry.
She has served as the Regional Vice President for South Asia at Marriott International, while responsibly handling portfolios of over 170 hotels. She began her career at The OberoiGroup for 15 years and moved on to continue her journey with Marriott for 14 years.
“I am delighted to join an organisation with the most comprehensive and exciting portfolio of brands in the region. It will be an honor to lead the Group’s vision in this region, and I eagerly look forward to this exciting role,” expressed Ranju.
Currently, Accor manages over 70 hotels in the region, and many properties are in the pipeline. Alex’s appointment comes at a crucial time, as Accor and InterGlobe Enterprises are pursuing a joint venture, however, approvals are still pending.
