Anthropic appoints Irina Ghose as Managing Director – India. This appointment shows the organisation’s commitment to scaling responsible artificial intelligence across one of the world’s fastest-growing markets.
With more than three decades of experience in the technology industry, Irina brings deep expertise in scaling technology businesses, driving enterprise adoption of AI, and building high-impact teams. She has served as Managing Director of Microsoft India, where she led enterprise AI adoption across key sectors including banking and financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, technology services, and government. She has also held senior leadership roles at Wipro, HCL Infosystems Ltd.., and Tata Steel.
Irina Ghose holds an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, and an MBA in business management from XLRI Jamshedpur. In her new role, she will focus on strengthening the company’s footprint in India by fostering partnerships with enterprises, academic institutions, and policymakers, while championing the adoption of secure, mission-critical AI solutions that align with local needs and Anthropic’s global vision of high-trust AI.
