Indian-American Entrepreneur Balaji Srinivasan bought an entire island near Singapore to build his vision of a “Network State”.
Mr. Srinivasan is the co-founder of Counsyl Inc. and also the former CTO of Coinbase. He aims to build a digital-first nation for tech heads, as he shared the concept in his book, “The Network State.”
He purchased the entire island in Bitcoin. The sessions have already begun, where a 90-day in-person residency is offered. Attracting 4000 students from 80+ countries for just 128 spots, enrolling in programs that blend physical fitness, workshops on AI, blockchain, and community-building activities.
An Instagram user, Nick Peterson, also shared his views on the program he enrolled in. Stating the island as “an oasis for gym rats and startup founders.”
“We got an island. That’s right. Through the power of Bitcoin, we now have a beautiful island near Singapore where we’re building the Network School. We’re starting with a 90-day popup that runs from September 23 to December 23, right after the Network State Conference.” Balaji posted on X.
