Kapil Khanna, CFA joins HSBC to lead Australia, Japan, and International Private Banking Desk
HSBC Global Private Banking welcomed Kapil Khanna as the Desk Head for Australia, Japan, and International clients from 14th July. This powerful move highlights the organisation’s strategic focus on expanding its presence and services.
Khanna has worked with renowned companies like Goldman Sachs, UBS, and Citi. He brings with him 20 years of experience and immense expertise in managing ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) client relationships. For 8 years, he has been associated with HSBC Private Banking. Over the course of his career, he has held multiple senior leadership positions within the bank.
Head of GPB South Asia, Tommy Leung, expressed confidence in the new appointment: “With Kapil’s extensive experience across both institutional and private banking, including his deep understanding of the Australian market, he is well-positioned to lead our efforts to deepen client relationships and strengthen our foothold in these developed economies.”
Khanna will report to Abhishek Mehrotra, the Market Head for Southeast Asia International. This appointment spotlights HSBC’s dedication to supporting UHNW clients with wealth preservation, succession planning, and cross-border financial solutions.
