Kotak Mahindra Bank has appointed Bhavnish Lathia as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The position had been vacant since February 15, following the resignation of Milind Nagnur, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

This appointment marks a significant step in the bank’s ongoing transformation. Lathia, who brings over 27 years of extensive global experience in technology, product development, and platform management, will assume his new role with immediate effect.

This strategic move underscores Kotak Mahindra Bank’s commitment to strengthening its technology infrastructure and driving innovation in the rapidly evolving financial landscape. Since August 2022, Lathia has served as Chief of Customer Experience and Head of Technology – Consumer Bank, giving him deep insight into the bank’s technological needs and strategic objectives.

Ashok Vaswani, Managing Director and CEO of Kotak Mahindra Bank, expressed confidence in Lathia’s ability to lead the bank’s technology initiatives. He highlighted Lathia’s instrumental role in advancing the bank’s technology strategy and emphasized the importance of integrating rapid technological advancements to achieve scalability and enhance customer satisfaction.

Lathia has previously held various leadership positions at Amazon and Valo Health, gaining expertise across diverse business functions. His academic background includes an MS in Computer Science from the University of Louisiana and an MBA from California State University.
