Prof. Dr. Amit Kumar Das stands as a distinguished figure when it comes to academia and industry. With over 25 years of experience in AI, data science, and IT, Dr. Das is currently the Professor and Dean of Industry Consultancy at the Institute of Engineering & Management, Kolkata. At the institute, he is the key force behind the industry’s expertise and academic rigour.
Dr. Das has worked with several companies like LTIMindtree, Cognizant, and Tata Consultancy Services. He has also consulted for the Department of Higher Education (West Bengal) and Rebaca Technologies. With two decades of diverse expertise from across several industries, in 2017, Dr. Das began his journey in academia.
As the Dean of Industry Consultancy, he has worked with several IT firms and startups that connect academic research with real-world applications. Currently, he is contributing to AI & ML research with a group of PhD scholars, where they ensure that the theoretical knowledge resonates with the practical implementations.
His contributions go beyond classrooms. Dr. Das has more than 25 published research papers on AI, ML, Deep Learning, and Big Data. These research papers are published in reputed international journals and conferences.
