
Rhenus Group recently went through a leadership transformation and appointed three leaders to head the global operations and drive growth across the designated regions.
Joachim Hanssen will assume the role of CEO for the APAC region starting on 1st August. Joachim will be responsible for Greater China, Central Asia & Turkey. With over two decades of expertise, he will be amplifying the company’s presence in Asia.
Alberto Martinez Carretero will assume the role of CEO for Europe, effective from 1st October 2025. In his new position, he will be leading the complex yet vital markets of Europe for the next phase of development. He currently serves as the Vice President of Global Ocean Freight, where he expanded trade lanes and built strong carrier partnerships.
Renee Toh is appointed as Vice President of Global Ocean Freight from 25th September 2025, succeeding Alberto Martinez. Renee brings 20 years of experience in ocean freight and trade management.
