Serene Woon joins Singapore Tourism Board as Area Director for India, the Middle East and South Asia
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) appointed Serena Woon as the Area Director-Designate for India, the Middle East, and South Asia. Woon will be responsible for destination marketing strategies across West and South India, as well as engagement in the Middle East and South Asia.
Woon has over 15 years of experience in the tourism and trade industry. She has been associated with the Singapore Tourism Board and Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry, where she has served in several major roles that contributed to market growth.
She was the Area Director in South Korea and Malaysia, where she expanded STB’s presence into Greater Busan and East Malaysia. Her cross-boundaries experience makes her the ideal fit for the role.
“India represents immense potential as one of our key markets. Serene’s deep experience and keen understanding of modern traveler preferences will bring valuable new perspectives and strengthen Singapore’s connections with Indian travelers. We look forward to her leadership in this crucial market.” said Markus T., regional director for IMESA at STB.
