Sonoco Performance Hub has appointed Shilpa Kankaria as Head of Human Resources. This appointment will lead the organisation’s HR strategy, focusing on aligning people initiatives with the company’s business priorities and strengthening a high-performance and workplace culture.
She holds a rich and diverse HR leadership background spanning strategic human resources, talent management, organizational development, and large-scale transformation initiatives. She served as Head – HR Business Partnering at Hexagon R&D India, where she played a pivotal role in driving people strategy for a 2,200-plus employee organization, including talent development, succession planning, and workforce engagement.
With her vast experience, she played a key role in driving organizational effectiveness, ensuring the right structures, capabilities, and culture were in place to support the vertical’s growth and innovation agenda. Her experience also includes leadership roles at XPO, ADP, Accenture, and the Tata Group, where she led HR strategy, change management, and global workforce programs across complex, multicultural environments.
At Sonoco, she will be responsible for advancing the company’s HR agenda, including talent strategy, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and seamlessly establishing HR as a strategic growth partner within the business.
