14-Year-Old Vaibhav Suryavanshi is making history in IPL
This 14-year-old cricketer representing Rajasthan Royals scored a whopping 101 runs in just 38 balls in the latest Indian Premier League India (IPL) match against the Gujarat Titans. Vaibhav Suryavanshi delivered a breathtaking performance in the match and became the youngest centurion in the tournament.
He achieved his century within 35 balls, the fastest century by an Indian cricketer in IPL history and the second-fastest after Chris Gayle.
Suryavanshi’s extraordinary innings paved the way for victory for the Rajasthan Royals in the latest match. His performance highlighted his ability to perform under pressure against experienced international opponents.
The young batsman’s feat was lauded by the legends of the cricketing world. Sachin Tendulkar acclaimed his fearless approach, whereas Yuvraj Singh and Krishnamachari Srikkanth called him the next cricket superstar. RR’s head coach, Rahul Dravid, also stood up to applaud Suryavanshi’s performance despite recovering from a leg injury.
Suryavanshi is signed by the Rajasthan Royals for 1.1 cr. He has consistently shown his capabilities in his Test debut for the U-19 Indian Cricket Team, where he scored a century in 60 balls.
Suryavanshi is the youngest player to hit a century in a T20 cricket tournament. This is just the beginning for him. He belongs to Samastipur, Bihar, from a farming family.
“I had an instinct that something big was going to happen, but honestly, I didn’t expect it to be this big. He is a God-gifted cricketer. He’s just a kid — only 14 years old. God has blessed him with immense talent,” said coach Ojha on the super innings Suryavanshi served.
